On July 24, 2023, at 8:20 a.m., City of Fairfax Police responded to a report of stolen vehicles and damaged property at the Farrish car dealership’s storage lot on 3301 Old Pickett Road. Officers discovered that unknown individuals had forced entry through a gate, damaged multiple vehicles, and stolen two cars. This incident was linked to similar thefts in Fairfax County, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County.
Following a thorough investigation, Tyresse Bartley, 24, of Beltsville, Maryland, was arrested by Montgomery County Police on September 13, 2023. The City of Fairfax Police subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for Grand Larceny (18.2-95) for Bartley. On June 12, 2024, Bartley was extradited to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where the warrant was served, and he was held without bond.
