A Fairfax man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a home on Fairview Drive earlier this week.
City of Fairfax Police and Fire Department officials responded to the 3900 block of Fairview Drive around 9:46 p.m. on March 11 after reports of a house fire. Upon arrival, officers detained a person of interest found near the scene.
With assistance from the City of Fairfax Fire Marshal’s Office, investigators determined that the fire was deliberately set.
Police arrested Emanuel Morales-Galvan, 32, of Fairfax, and charged him with Burning or Destroying a Dwelling, a felony offense. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.
Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive or whether anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing.
