Fairfax City youth can shape the future through art by designing voter stickers for Fairfax City elections.
Students in grades K-12 in Fairfax City are invited to create “I Voted” or “Future Voter” stickers that mention the City of Fairfax. These stickers will be distributed during the Nov. 5 General Election, as well as other future elections.
The contest runs Jan. 15 through April 12.
Entries will be evaluated by members of the City of Fairfax Commission on the Arts, Election Board, and City of Fairfax School Board. The top three designs for each category (“I Voted” and “Future Voter”) will be voted on by the public May 1-28.
Students in grades K-12 are eligible if they:
- Reside in Fairfax City
- Attend public or private school in Fairfax City
- Are home-schooled in Fairfax City
What can you submit?
- Students in grades K-6 may submit entries for “Future Voter” stickers
- Students in grades 7-12 may submit entries for “I Voted” stickers
The city must receive all forms and artwork no later than April 12. There is no entry fee to participate in the contest.
