Fairfax, VA – In the early hours of June 23, 2024, at 3:25 AM, City of Fairfax Police responded to an alarm at Tobacco King located at 9607 Fairfax Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male suspects, later identified as juveniles, attempting to break into the business.
While conducting their investigation, officers noticed the two suspects peering into a second business across the street. When the suspects attempted to flee the scene, they were quickly detained by the police.
Both suspects were confirmed to be involved in the attempted burglary at Tobacco King. The investigating officer is seeking to obtain a petition for one suspect on one count of Attempted Burglary (18.2-89). The second suspect faces one count of Attempted Burglary (18.2-89) and an additional charge for Prohibition of Wearing of Masks in Certain Places (18.2-422).
